NSW SOUTHERN REGION ANNOUNCEMENT

The following are events that were not nominated at the beginning of the year and are now finalised.....

Mighty 11's (Aus v NZ) to be held at CASINO BMX Club

Southern region GALAH DAY to be held at the Hawkesbury BMX Club - 21/06/09

Southern Region Open #1 to be held at the Blue Mountains BMX Club - 23/08/09

Southern Region Open #2 to be held at the Castle Hill BMX Club - 23/09/09

To qualify for the 2009 NSW Championships you must compete at 3 of the 4 SR Series rounds + 1 SR Open event (listed above - not including the Galah Day) + 6 Club races. These must be signed off on the SR Cards (when issued) and submitted to the Club Secretary by no later than Saturday the 1st of August 2009. Please support your Club Secretary and ensure you do not lose these cards and have them signed off at each event and Club race to lessen his role. Many thanks.

I do not know, rules for some and rules for others I guess.

Rule was made that if you hold a SR round you could not hold an open, maybe we should show our vote on the matter with our feet and not doing it. Only thing is that this will hurt the club and not those that made the rule, maybe the other clubs should just go ahead and run opens anyway now that they have done this the door is open in my book.

Would like to know the reasoning behind it, I am sure for the many not doing the Aussies or Worlds would do an open much earlier in the year.

Wally, you should write to Neil and ask him what the go is. I think that this years calendar pretty much sucks compared to other states and will only go towards harming the racing of NSW when compared to others.
I don't know how many Regionals I am going to be able to do, seems that this week might be out again. Hopefully they will accept a Dr's certificate.
